Set a downloadlimit and expiration

As soon as someone buys an e-book in your webshop, the buyer receives a download link. To prevent that link from taking on a life of its own, you can attach a time limit and a maximum number of downloads to it. For example, you can set it so that a customer can download the book a maximum of three times within one month. You save these settings as your default, but you can always make an exception for an individual order.

Accommodating the customer

Sometimes, things just don't go the reader's way. The e-reader has broken down, the file was accidentally deleted, or the customer "accidentally" read the book themselves even though it was meant as a gift. In those cases, as a publisher, you can lend a helping hand by extending the limits for that specific purchase.

A quick fix in BoMark

In BoMark, you can find the right transaction in no time by simply searching by name or email address. Do you see text in red? Then you know immediately which limit has been reached. Via the 'Change Limits' button, you can adjust the expiration date or increase the number of permitted downloads in a heartbeat.
By setting limits, you ensure that it isn't attractive for buyers to share their personal download link with the rest of the world.
